We are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Yakubu Abubakar on a year contract till the end of season

Rich of Myanmar National League experience, the midfielder started playing from 2015 to 2019 in Zeyar Shwe Myay, Ayeyawady United, Rakhine United and Shan United.
Then he moved to Malaysia Super League Club Sri Pahang in 2021 and continued his journey to Bahraini Premier Club Hidd SCC in 2022 playing two seasons.
Abubakar expressed on joining to Yangon United, “I am thrilled to be back to Myanmar National League and feel good. I had played against this club and I know the club is really good and very organized team and provide superb facilities. I will give my best for this club.”
“I had played with Yan Naing Oo in Zeyar Shwe Myay and Shan United and David Htan as well. I believe I can make a good impact on the team,” he added.
