Yangon United is delighted to announce the signing of Wai Lin Aung, a defensive midfielder of the Myanmar National Team and Dagon Star United for one season.

A youngster was cherished in the Institute of Sports & Physical Education (Mandalay) and started his professional debut with ISPE in 2013 featuring in Myanmar National League U-18. His progression through U-20, and U-21, reflects his consistent performance and commitment. Then his team advanced to Myanmar National League II in 2018. Subsequently, they booked a spot to play in the Myanmar National League in 2019.
Showcasing his performance in the matches, he was spotted to be brought to Dagon Star United for two years after being identified for his skills. Then the future star has now made a significant move to Yangon United.
Looking into his national team career, Wai Lin Aung, born in Katha, Sagaing region, had been selected in Myanmar National U-23 to play in the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam 2022.
“It is grateful to be offered and play in this great team. I always dreamed of playing for Yangon United. I just cannot wait to perform with the team and bring success”, expressed Wai Lin Aung.
