Yangon United hammered ISPE 4-0 today in the postponed match of Myanmar National League 2023. The goals of Sylla, Yan Naing Oo, and Sa Aung Pyae Ko sealed the first round of the Myanmar National League with a victory.
The Head Coach made some changes in his 4-3-3 formation, and youngsters Yan Kyaw Soe and Okkar Naing appeared in the starting list. Sylla got some chances in 23, 30, and 33 minutes to find a goal, and his finishing was weak to open a leading goal for Yangon. However, midfielder Yan Naing Oo fired a direct free kick to the net for a leading goal in 35 minutes. Five minutes later, the lads saw their second goal when Sylla made an accurate heading to the net from a cross of Yan Naing Oo. The lads led the match 2-0 ahead of ISPE.
In the second half, Sylla’s heading almost hit the net, but it went over the post. The third leading goal was found in 75 minutes when David Htan crossed the ball to Sylla to add another leading goal. And substitute Sa Aung Pyae Ko sealed the victory with his goal from the paving of Yan Kyaw Htwe. Yangon United ended their first round of the Myanmar National League with a win over ISPE 4-0.
Yangon United Head Coach U Kyaw Dunn said, “Thanks to the players who played hard today for the victory. Although we dominated the match, we could not utilize some opportunity. But our lads were better in the second half”.
After 11 matches played, Yangon United stands in second place with 9 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss, and 28 points. The lads will play their second round on 18th July at YUSC to face GFA.
