Gaining experiences from international, Valencia played in American and South America clubs. He also represented the Colombia Youth International teams and was a standout for the U-20 National Team in the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup playing along with James Rodriquez, former player of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Taking the legacy of his father Adolfo Valencia who made appearances in the Columbia National Team and played in Bayern Munich, and Atletico Madrid, he started his professional career in Santa Fe, Colombia club at the age of 17.
After a year spent in Santa Fe, he made a stunning performance known to Major League Soccer (MLS) Club Portland Timbers FC, and he was loaned in 2011. Then he could make a full transfer to Portland Timbers in 2013.
Afterward, he was loaned to Argentine sports club Club Olimpo from Portland Timbers and moved to Rosario Central in the second half of the season and back to Columbia clubs.
Looking back his international achievements, he achieved the two times Champions titles with Santa Fe and recorded his name in Maurice Revello Tournament as a Champion in 2011.
For three years playing in Portuguese club Feirense since 2017, he joined Ecuador club Delfin, Colombia club Pereira in 2022, and Atletico Bucaramanga in 2023.
The right-footed striker mainly plays as the center-forward and is ready to play as a left-winger and right-winger. He was one of the team players who brought the team to the round of 16 in the 2020 Copa Libertadores with Ecuador club Delfin.
6 feet 1-inch striker Valencia expressed, “I am thrilled to receive the offer from this club, and this is a great opportunity for me. Moreover, this is my very first time in Myanmar, and joining Yangon United is beyond my pleasure. Now I am ready to play for this great team”.
