Lions enjoy victory beating Mahar United 4-0
Lions enjoyed the victory beating Mahar United 4-0 today at Yangon United Sports Complex. Sylla and Yan Kyaw Htwe scored the goals for Yangon United.
The squad came out with 4-3-3 today. In 19 minutes, Yangon got a chance to hit the net through Hlaing Bo Bo and Zaw Win Thein, but the opponent’s keeper denied it. In 33 minutes, Kaung Htet Soe got injured when he attempted to control the ball passing through the opponent and was substituted by Zarni Htet. In 38 minutes, Yangon saw their first leading goal hit by Sylla’s double attempt with an assist from David Htan. The lads could have earned more goals in the first half, but some shots were hit to the goal bar. Yangon United were leading 1-0 ahead of Mahar United at the break.
After the restart, Yangon saw another leading goal in 55 minutes, and Sylla doubled the leading goal with an assist from David Htan. In 69 minutes, Sa Aung Pyae Ko and Sylla were replaced by Lamin Htwe and Yan Kyaw Htwe. Just a minute later, Yan Kyaw Htwe added a third leading goal. Then he saw his second goal for Yangon in additional time when Sann Sat Naing kicked the ball from the box. At the final whistle, Yangon United earned three points beating Mahar United 4-0.
Yangon United Head Coach U Kyaw Dunn said, “We won the match due to our fans supporting and players’ efforts. We keep moving on for another victory”.
Yangon United earned 15 points from 6 matches played, 5 wins, 1 loss, and will face Yadanarbon on 31st May at Thuwunna Stadium.
