Yangon United Stage 2-1 Comeback Victory Over Thitsar Arman
Yangon United pulled off a 2-1 comeback win against Thitsar Arman this evening at Thuwunna Stadium.
Thitsar Arman took the lead in the first half with a goal from Saw Myo Zaw, while Yangon United saw several opportunities through Hlaing Bo Bo, Oakkar Naing, and Yan Kyaw Htwe but couldn’t convert before the break.
In the second half, Yangon United responded, with Yan Kyaw Htwe equalizing in the 54th minute, heading in from Zaw Win Thein’s assist. The decisive moment came in the 64th minute when Yan Naing Oo scored a stunning free-kick to secure the 2-1 victory.
Head coach U Kyaw Dunn remarked after the match, “We need more adjustments and preparation as we aim for the champions.”
Yangon United currently sit in third place with 27 points from 11 matches, 8 wins, 3 draws in the first round of the Myanmar National League. Their next match is scheduled for October 19th against Dagon Port at Yangon United Sports Complex.
