Yangon United Share Points in 2-2 Draw with Hantharwady United
Yangon United faced off against Hantharwady United today at Thuwunna Stadium, with both teams sharing the points after a 2-2 draw.
Yangon United initially pressed forward with a penetrating pass in an attempt to take the lead. However, Hantharwady United responded with counter-attacks, netting two first-half goals through Than Toe Aung in the 11th minute and Aung Myat Thu in the 30th minute, giving them a solid lead at halftime.
In the second half, Yangon United’s head coach, U Kyaw Dunn, made strategic adjustments to spark a comeback. Their efforts paid off in the 54th minute when Oakkar Naing scored to reduce the deficit. Just six minutes later, Wai Lin Aung capitalized on their attacking momentum to equalize the score at 2-2. Yangon United continued to press forward in search of a winning goal, but despite their attempts, luck was not on their side, and the match ended in a stalemate.
Following the game, Head Coach U Kyaw Dunn commented, “We are not quite satisfied with the result, but I want to congratulate our players for the comeback in the second half.”
