Yangon United Secures 5-2 Victory Over Yadanarbon
Yangon United triumphed with a 5-2 victory over Yadanarbon this evening at Thuwunna Stadium in the sixth week of the Myanmar National League 2024-25 season.
Despite making some changes in the starting lineup, Yangon United faced an early setback when Yadanarbon took the lead with a goal from Ti Nyein Min in the 11th minute. However, the team persisted, and Yan Kyaw Htwe equalized to bring the score level by halftime.
Yadanarbon regained the lead in the 55th minute through a goal from Arkar, but Yangon United responded strongly. Hlaing Bo Bo scored from 18 yards out to equalize again, and Kaung Sithu then added a third goal in the 76th minute. Zaw Win Thein and Aung Myo Khant further extended the lead with goals in the 85th minute and during additional time, respectively, securing the 5-2 win.
Yangon United’s head coach, U Kyaw Dunn, commented on the match, stating, “We conceded goals due to a lack of concentration, so we need to fix it for the upcoming matches.”
Yangon United now has 14 points from 6 matches and will face ISPE on August 17th at Thuwunna Stadium.
