Lions seal victory over Shwe Pyi Thar United with 3-0
Yangon United earned three points beating Shwe Pyi Thar United today at Yangon United Sports Complex at 4 pm in the second round of Myanmar National League Cup 2024. Yan Naing Oo, Zin Ko Htet made goals for the victory.
Thura Kyaw featured in the squad for the very first time and some players also appeared in the list.
Yangon United opened a leading goal in 15 minutes by Yan Naing Oo directly hit to the left corner of the goal post. The lads kept pushing the opponent and Zin Ko Htet doubled the lead with his superb goal to the upper left corner of the goal post to break the first half with 2-0.
In the second half, Sanogo, David Htan and Hein Zayar Lin were replaced by La Min Htwe, Hein Zayar Min and Thurein Soe to keep pressing the opponent. The third leading goal was found by substitute Nyan Lin Htet made a clear pass to the net with an assist of Aung Myo Khant. The lads got chances to score, however, they were weak in finishing which led to end the match with 3-0 over Shwe Pyi Thar United.
Yangon United Head Coach Frank Bernhardt said, “We gave a lot of players chances today and in the end the result is ok”.
Yangon United are leading the table with 15 points and coming May 1st, the lads will face University at Thuwunna stadium.
