Yangon United Triumphs Over Dagon Port with Oakkar Naing’s Hat-Trick
Yangon United secured a dominant 6-1 victory against Dagon Port this evening at Thuwunna Stadium.
The team quickly established control, taking the lead just three minutes into the match when Oakkar Naing headed in a corner from Zaw Win Thein. The momentum continued, with Naing adding a second goal in the 36th minute after Zaw Win Thein delivered a free-kick from the right side. The pressure paid off again in additional time as Yan Kyaw Htwe capitalized on a rebound from the goalkeeper, who initially saved another attempt from Zaw Win Thein.
Dagon Port managed to score in the 55th minute with a goal from Si Thu Naing. In response, Yangon United made tactical substitutions, bringing on La Min Htwe and Thar Yar Win Htet to replace Yan Kyaw Htwe and Zaw Win Thein. The changes fueled further attacks, with goals from David Htan in the 59th minute, La Min Htwe in the 61st minute, and Oakkar Naing completing his hat-trick in the 67th minute, sealing the impressive 6-1 victory.
Head coach U Kyaw Dunn praised his team’s efforts, stating, “I just need to guide the way as they are talented players. This victory is testament to their hard work.”
