Yangon United was convinced 1-4 victory over University today at 4 pm at Thuwunna stadium. Gideon Tetteh netted a goal in the early minutes, and Yan Kyaw Htwe earned the hat-trick for Yangon.
Sann Satt Naing was back to the starting XI, and Gideon Tetteh was kept in the centre forward. A leading goal was found by Gideon Tetteh driving from the edge of 18 yards in 8 minutes with a close assist from Aung Myo Khant. However, the opponent took a goal back in 19 minutes by Aung Myint Myat to break the first half at 1-1.
After the restart, Nyi Nyi Aung was replaced by Yan Kyaw Htwe. Just 3 minutes after entering the field, Yan Kyaw Htwe scored his first goal when Yan Naing Oo crossed the ball to the goal area. It seemed like he was fond of scoring goals after seeing his second goal in four minutes later. Head Coach made some changes with Thar Yar Win Htet in the place of Aung Myo Khant in 59 minutes, Abubacar and Oakkar Naing were replaced by Hlaing Bo Bo and Nyan Lin Htet in 74 minutes. The final sealing goal for Yangon was scored by Yan Kyaw Htwe to record his hat-trick in 74 minutes when Nyan Lin Htet passed the ball to the goal area. At the final whistle, the Lions managed to earn a 1-4 win over University.
Yangon United Head Coach Frank Bernhardt said, “We draw 1-1 in the first half. We made some changes, and the second half was again much better.”
Yangon United is still leading at the top after 6 matches played with 18 points and coming May 13th, the lads will face GFA at Thuwunna stadium.
