Yangon United sign Pyae Phyo Aung on 2-year contract
We are pleased to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Pyae Phyo Aung from Hantharwady United on a 2-year contract.
Pyae Phyo Aung, 33, an experienced goalkeeper was nurtured in the Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon). His journey from being the first professional player at Southern Myanmar in 2009 to representing Myanmar at various youth levels and eventually making it to the National Team in 2011 is commendable.
His 11-year tenure at Southern Myanmar showcased his loyalty and commitment to the club. Then he transferred to Hantharwady United in 2020 featuring three years with the teams.
“To join Yangon United has been a wish since I was in Southern Myanmar FC. Contributing to this great team and walking out on the field with my teammates in AFC is my target that I am playing football. I am ready to overcome every obstacle with the team and try to win the Champions title.”
