Lions keep consecutive win after beating Yadanarbon 3-0
Yangon United won Yadanarbon 3-0 today at Thuwunna stadium in the week-7 of Myanmar National League 2023. David Htan, Okkar Naing, Yan Kyaw Htwe scored the goals for Yangon.
The squad come out with 4-3-3 and could dominate the match. In 14 minutes, Yangon almost got an opening goal when David Htan crossed the ball to the box and Sylla tried to head to the corner of the post. But his attempt hit the goal post. Then in 27 minutes, the chance came to knock the door of Lions to lead the match and David Htan drove to the net from an assist of Sylla. After letting a leading goal, Yadanarbon eager to respond the goal. However, the defense line and goalkeeper handled it well till the break to lead 1-0 ahead of Yadanarbon.
In 49 minutes, Yangon got another leading goal when Yan Naing Oo’s free kick created the chance for Okkar Naing to head to the net. Yadanarbon’s Thyne Bwel Aung possessed the chance to score in 62 minutes, but Sann Sat Naing saved it. The third leading goal was in 89 minutes when substitute Yan Kyaw Htwe headed to the net with an assist of Zaw Win Thein. Lions could seal the 3-0 victory over Yadanarbon at the final whistle.
Yangon United Head Coach U Kyaw Dunn said, “It was difficult match for us. The opponent team was good with young players. Anyway I am satisfied with the result”.
Yangon United earned 18 points from 7 matches, 6 wins, 1 loss and coming June 4th, the lads will face Ayeyawady United at Yangon United Sports Complex.
