Yangon United secured a 3-1 victory against ISPE today at Thuwunna Stadium
The match began with ISPE earning a penalty in the 10th minute after Min Kyaw Khant committed a foul in the penalty area. ISPE’s Thein Zaw Thiha stepped up to take the shot, but Yangon United’s goalkeeper, Sann Satt Naing, made a crucial save. However, ISPE took the lead in the 25th minute with a goal from Khaing Ye Win. Yangon United quickly responded and equalized in the 27th minute when Zaw Win Thein was fouled in the penalty area, earning Yangon a penalty. Yan Kyaw Htwe confidently converted, making it 1-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Yangon United came out strong. Yan Kyaw Htwe scored his second goal of the match with a header assisted by Yan Naing Oo. The team continued to press, and in the 64th minute, David Htan scored the third goal, sealing the win for Yangon United.
Head coach U Kyaw Dunn commented, “The lads were a bit slow at the beginning. Anyway, I am satisfied with the result.”
Yangon United now has 17 points from 7 matches, with 5 wins and 2 draws. They currently stand in second place and will host Ayeyawady United at the Yangon United Sports Complex on August 25th.
